What is DTF?
DTF stands for Direct-to-Film. Your artwork is printed in full color onto a special PET film, coated with a hot-melt adhesive powder, then cured. The finished film transfer is heat-pressed onto a garment, where the design bonds permanently to the fabric.
Unlike vinyl, there is no weeding and no cutting individual colors — a DTF transfer reproduces gradients, photographs, and fine detail in one pass.

From printed film to a finished tee in four steps: print, press, peel, and wear.
Why people choose DTF
- Works on almost any fabric — cotton, polyester, blends, canvas, light or dark.
- Full color, fine detail — great for photos, gradients, and small text.
- No minimums to start and fast turnaround.
- Durable — properly applied transfers stretch and survive many wash cycles.
What you need
- A DTF transfer (that’s what we print and ship).
- A heat press.
